Subject Description | This subject aims to develop skills in the reading of Japanese- language economic and commercial materials. On completion of the subject students should be familiar with the style and vocabulary of government regulations and reports, business reports and business/economic journalism; be able to comprehend and explain with a high degree of accuracy texts similar to those studied; be able to access background information from the content of the texts studied; and be able to apply and extend the knowledge gained into areas of particular interest to them and use similar materials in their own work. |
Assessment | Written work totalling 4000 words for 3rd year, 5000 words for 4th year. 3rd year students are required to attend a minimum of 70% of all classes in order to be eligible to submit work. |
