Students must be concurrently enrolled in 110-098 Japanese 1B-IT.

Subject Description

This subject forms a post-introductory course in Japanese. Students learn further basic expressions which enable them to function in daily life in Japan. Students also expand their knowledge of kanji (Chinese characters) to around 200 characters. Students are further introduced to aspects of Japanese culture.

Assessment

Assignments, quizzes totalling 1000 words, a 20-minute oral test and a 2-hour examination. Students are required to attend a minimum of 70% of all classes in order to be eligible to take examinations.
