Subject Description

This subject involves advanced spoken and written Chinese. By the conclusion of this subject students should have built on the knowledge of Chinese gained in their First Year and be able to read original Chinese material on current affairs as well as simple literary texts. They should be able to conduct conversations in Chinese on topics of general interest.

Assessment

Class participation, a 10-minute oral examination, a 2-hour examination, and written work totalling 2000 words.
