Subject Description | This subject examines current debates within feminist theory, with particular emphasis on the impact of recent developments in materialist and postcolonial theory on feminist literary criticism and women's writing. Students will develop an understanding of current feminist retheorisations of such categories as class, culture, sexuality and gender, in the context of analysing structures of historical and cultural difference. |
