Faculty of Engineering : Guide to courses
The Extended BE program has been designed for students who have completed their secondary schooling outside Australia at a level below that of the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE). The initial eighteen months of the program consists of an intergrated course of bridging material and the first year of one of the streams of engineering. At the end of the initial eighteen months students will transfer to the second year of the chosen stream of the BE. The total program requires 450 points to be accumulated over nine semesters.
As the secondary schooling of applicants is expected to be varied, the course structure will be tailored to the particular requirements of applicants. Details are available from the Faculty Office at the address below or from the internet address: http://www.eng.unimelb.edu.au/eng/extended.html
The bridging material for the Extended BE is detailed on Extended Bachelor of Engineering.
