The Faculty of Economics and Commerce has established an Industry Year program with a number of organisations that provides an opportunity for students to gain valuable industry experience. Upon completion of their penultimate year, students can apply to participate in the scheme, which involves taking a year long Leave of Absence from their degree to work for the year before returning to study in the subsequent year. In some cases, scholarships are attached to the Industry Year placements, enabling students to complete their degree without incurring further HECS charges. Any enquiries regarding the Industry Year program should be directed to the Faculty Office.
