Subject Description

This subject investigates the remarkable transformation of Korea in the post Korean war era and the role of the state, big business and labour is considered in the process of industrialisation. Also Korean political practices and values are examined together with the political systems of the RoK and the DPRK; their relationship with each other and substantive policy issues.

Assessment

Two 750-word assignments, and a 2500-word essay, and class participation, and a 2-hour examination.
