Subject Description

The language will be taught at both the written level, utilising a variety of contemporary sources, such as the electronic and print media and at the more colloquial level, where individual conversation practice on a wide range of topics is offered.

Assessment

Two 2-hour examinations, and two 5-minute oral examinations, and a 10-minute oral presentation, and class participation. To be eligible for assessment students must pass 70% of weekly tests, attend 70% of classes and hand-in 70% of homework.
