One 1-hour lecture and two 2-hour practical language classes per week

Subject Description

Study of the theory of differences between spoken and written language, informal and formal style and register, and practice in appropriate use of varieties of Modern Greek. Students enrolled in 150-168 will also study the socio-cultural context and historical background to contemporary usage.

Assessment

Written work, class tests and oral tests, and an examination totalling 4000 words.
