Subject Description

Authors from the 15th century to the present are studied. Students read a short novel and excerpts from medieval and modern Hindi poets. Hindi is spoken where possible in class discussions.

Assessment

An essay of 1000 words, and ten short weekly essays of 150 words each, and a 1-hour class presentation in Hindi, and a 2-hour examination.
