Subject Description | Upon completion of this subject students should have:
The subject provides an introduction to the molecular basis of gene structure and expression in prokaryotes and eukaryotes. The processes of DNA replication, mutation and recombination. The molecular tools of gene isolation and analysis. Molecular evolution. |
Assessment | One 3-hour written examination at the end of the semester and up to four short-answer tests during semester. |
