Subject Description

This subject comprises advanced physiotherapy treatment techniques and introduces the student to a variety of approaches used in the treatment of individuals with neurological dysfunction. Students will build on a knowledge of treatment approaches explored in Neurological Physiotherapy 1 and 2. The objectives of this course are to develop students' understanding of the theoretical basis underlying a variety of treatment approaches and to provide opportunity to practice some of these techniques. Students are encouraged to discuss the theoretical concepts of the different approaches thus enhancing their ability to make informed clinical decisions about the management of individual clinets with neurological dysfunction.

Video assessment 30%

Written assignment (up to 1500 words) (60%)

Attendance at all sessions (10%).
