Subject Description

The objective of this subject is to help students to develop personal skills and knowledge in designing residential subdivisions and preparing the corresponding documentation. Design principles for a residential neighbourhood development incorporating site and environmental analysis, structure plan design and site and lot criteria. The preparation of a development plan and the associated documentation. Use of computer aided design techniques.

Assessment

Not more than three-hours of written examinations and tests, one 2000 word essay, one seminar, and up to 20 pages of written assignments and reports on practical work. The relative weighting of the assessment components will be published at the commencement of the subject.
