Subject Description

Introduction to design of electronic systems. Feedback. Practical op-amp circuits and examples of common chips. Comparators and timers. Electronic device and SPICE models. Differential amplifiers. Wideband amplifiers: frequency response, loading effects, multistage amplifiers. Tuned circuits. Output stages: distortion. Nonlinear analog circuits: multipliers, rectifiers, phase-locked loops. Introduction to noise effects in electronic systems.

Assessment

One written examination not exceeding three-hours; practice classes, tests, assignments and project reports, not exceeding 20 pages
