Subject Description | On completion of this subject students should: be able to interface memory and simple peripherals to microprocessors; be able to write microprocessor programs in assembler; be able to analyse and design sequential logic circuits. The contents include: Interfacing memory and simple peripherals to a microprocessor, Serial and parallel I/O. Program development using assembler. Design of sequential digital circuits including asynchronous systems, implementation of digital systems using programmable gate arrays. |
Assessment | One written examination not exceeding three hours; practice classes, tests, laboratory reports and notebooks, assignments and project reports |
