Subject Description

An examination of theoretical and empirical studies of decision making in criminal justice; the idea of discretion and the control of discretionary judgements; an introduction to techniques appropriate to the study of decision making.

Assessment

An essay of 3000 words, and a 2-hour exam or take-home test equivalent to 2000 words.
