A 1-hour lecture and a 90-minute seminar per week

Subject Description

The subject covers the following topics in detail: the intersection of law, crime and medicine; practices of law and forensic medicine; regulation of the health professions; euthanasia; neonaticide; abortion; the legitimacy of embryo research; the medico-legal problem.

Assessment

An essay of 5000 words on a topic set by the coordinator or selected by the student in consultation with the coordinator, or a an essay of 3000 words and a 2-hour examination.
