Contact | Two 1-hour lectures and a tutorial per week. There will be no tutorials in the first or the middle week |
Subject Description | Introduction to the ways in which culture is represented in language and the role of the cultural component in language; ethnography of communication, politeness, language and thought, and biculturalism. |
Assessment | Two practical assignments of 1000 words each, and an essay of 2000 words. |
