Subject Description

The subject covers issues relating to the labour market (unemployment); the product market (consumption, saving and investment); and the money market. It considers the role of government economic policy as well as issues such as inflation and the balance of payments. Students completing this subject should have acquired knowledge of macro economic policy and current policy issues in macro economics.

Assessment

A 2-hour examination, and six tutorial exercises and two essays totalling 3000 words.
