Subject Description

A discussion of traditional Action Theory culminating in Davidson's contemporary theory and taking up the current debate about mental causation. Objections from the nature of agency as, for example, illuminated by Kant and Wittgenstein, will be considered and consequences drawn for a viable concept of the agent or self.

Assessment

Written work totalling 5000 words.
