Non-native speakers will need to present evidence of English language proficiency (IELTS, TOEFL, DELA) or be interviewed by CCS & ESL staff.

Three hours of combined lecture and tutorial classes each week for one semester

Subject Description

Designed for both native and non-native speakers of English (see prerequisites) with a focus on the Internet as both the subject of and medium for communication. Students will be introduced to the basic principles of group dynamics, graphic design, and the use of multi-media for communication. Students will also develop their ability to write in a variety of genres and to give formal and informal presentations. These principles and skills will be integrated into a consideration of the Internet and the potential of the Information Superhighway as sites for communication.

Assessment

Continuous assessment tasks, and a major project involving group and individual work, totalling 4000 words.
