Prerequisites | At least two Second or third year HPS subjects. Students wishing to enrol in this subject must apply for permission through a member of the Department who is willing to supervise the course of study. |

Subject Description | Dependent on interests and expertise of student. This subject functions to provide students with the opportunity to do supervised research on a topic not normally treated in the undergraduate curriculum. The student should gain skills in independent research and acquire the ability to apply historical, philosophical and social forms of analysis to a piece of scientific work of particular interest to him or her. |
Assessment | Written work totalling 4000 words for 3rd-year 5000 words for 4th-year. |
