Subject Description

This subject will survey applied anthropology work in Australia, Southeast Asia, the Pacific, Africa, and the USA. Topics will include work in economic development, social impact assessment, medicine, education, international business and marketing, and the protection of ecosystems. Emphasis will be on studying actual cases, on the design and implementation of applied projects as part of multi-disciplinary teams, and on developing career paths.

Assessment

Written work totalling 1000 words and three hours of class tests.
