Subject Description | This unit aims to stimulate reflection upon the ways in which 'Asia' and 'Asians' have been constructed historically in Australian society and their meaning for Australian identity. On completion of the subject students will be able: to reflect upon the ways in which 'Asia' and 'Asians' have been constructed historically in Australian society; to understand contemporary debates about Australian national identity in the light of such constructions. |
