Subject Description

The subject will explore relations and encounters between white settlers and Aboriginal peoples between 1788 and 1995. On completion of this subject, students should be able to demonstrate a general knowledge of the major events in and stages of the history of settler/indigenous relations in Australia. In particular, students will have gained access to Koori perspectives as well as and in relation to non-Koori writing on the major issues involved.

Assessment

Written work totalling 4000 words.
