A 1-hour language class and a 1-hour lecture and a 1-hour seminar per week

Subject Description

An introduction to the Old Norse language and a survey of the history and culture of the Viking Era.

Assessment

A 2-hour written examination, an essay of 1000 words, and regular language tests and assignments equivalent to 1000 words.

  • Various authors, Hákonar saga goda, Njals saga, the Prose Edda (Snorri Sturluson).
