Subject Description

The development of the phonology, morphology and syntax from the 11th Century to the present. The nature and role of Old Church Slavonic. Reading of early Old Russian texts. Understand the linguistic development (at all linguistic levels) of Russian from its appearance out of Common Slavonic to the present.

Assessment

Written work totalling 5000 words.
