Subject Description

Linguistic and literary theory of translation; practical translation from Russian at an advanced level. By the end of the subject students should be able to: understand the principles and problems of translation; translate from Russian into English complex non-technical texts; translate from English into Russian texts of medium difficulty.

Assessment

Written work totalling 4000 words.
