Subject Description

Students will acquire a proficiency in basic idiomatic and conversational forms and be able to converse freely using these forms. They will develop a proficiency in written structures of moderate complexity and be able to formulate such structures clearly and accurately. They will develop the ability to interpret messages of an intermediate level of complexity occurring in a variety of audio-visual media and in individual and group spoken forms. They will achieve the level of language competency required for admittance into Advanced German 2 (Core) A and B.

Assessment

A 2-hour exam, and a 20-minute oral examination, and written work totalling 1000 words.
