Subject Description

This subject focuses on the spoken and written language of present-day Italy. Students will undertake regular exercises in composition and translation, and other language activities in order to improve their language skills. They will also participate in regular conversation practice for the purpose of reinforcing their command of current idiomatic Italian. By the end of the subject, students should have improved their written production skills, and should be able to express themselves with increasing fluency on most topics of a general, non-specialized nature.

Assessment

Written tests equivalent to 3000 words, and class tests and written work equivalent to 1000 words.
