Three hours language classes and a 1-hour lecture per week

Subject Description

The subject provides students with intensive revision and further exploration of the major areas of the Italian language. The subject combines the analysis of grammatical structures, vocabulary and idiom with practical exercises designed to increase the student's linguistic competence in a variety of areas: comprehension, essay-writing, spoken Italian. Students will also undertake background study in a cultural/historical topic. By the end of the subject students should have developed their spoken, written and comprehension skills.

Assessment

Two 1-hour written tests, and class tests and written work equivalent to 1000 words, and an essay of 1000 words.
