A 1-hour language laboratory and a 1-hour lecture/seminar per week

Subject Description

This course is designed to assist the language learning of students already enrolled in Beginners Italian 1A. Weekly language laboratory class will, by means of audio as well as video, music and computer activities, reinforce and improve students' understanding, use and pronunciation of Italian. A weekly lecture/seminar will be devoted to practical language learning issues (early 1st sem.) and then to an introduction to Italian literature and culture. By the end of the academic year students will also have begun acquiring the skills necessary to read and discuss simple literary texts.

Assessment

A 500-word quiz, and a 500-word dictation test, and a 1-hour exam.
