A 2-hour seminar and a 1-hour tutorial per week

Subject Description

The New Wave in its social context; 'auteur' theory; cinematographic language; representations of social change; representations of an historical obsession (World War II); the post modern French thriller ('polar').

Assessment

A 25-minute classpaper subsequently written up and equivalent to 1000 words, and a film analysis of 1000 words, and an essay of 2000 words.
