Subject Description | Students will build on writing and reading skills acquired in Beginners French IA and Beginners French IB. Students successfully completing the course should be able to: write accurately in basic French, using the range of grammatical structures studied and in a range of genres from short descriptive texts to letters and poems; read a variety of French texts from poems to newspaper items and short articles; and appreciate aspects of francophone cultures. |
Assessment | Written work and class tests equivalent to 2000 words, and a 2--hour exam. Students who have attended less than 80% of classes will be ineligible to sit the final exam. |
Prescribed Texts | A subject reader will be available.
