Two hours of lectures, a 1-hour tutorial and a 1-hour computer laboratory class per week

Subject Description

The elements of Ancient Greek; reading simple texts; translation exercises; introduction to Greek culture. Students on completion of the subject should have acquired an understanding of the elements of the grammar, syntax and vocabulary of Ancient Greek and have attained reading skills sufficient to begin reading simpler literary texts.

Assessment

Written work which may comprise regular exercises and class tests totalling 2000 words, and a 2- hour examination.
