Subject Description

A reading course in Semitic literary texts and inscriptions with particular emphasis on one of the Semitic languages. Students on completion of this subject should have a reading knowledge of the language dealt with, and a broad knowledge of the place of that language within the Semitic language family.

Assessment

Two hours of class tests, and regular exercises equivalent to 2000 words for 2nd and 3rd-year 3000 words for 4th-year.
