Subject Description | Through this course honours students are encouraged to utilize Japanese language sources for their research. Students submit an English translation of a Japanese text chosen by the student and approved by the subject coordinator. The text must be related to their honours theses. The main goal of this course is for students to demonstrate a clear understanding of the Japanese text through lucidly expressed English paraphrase; a word-by-word translation is not acceptable. |
Assessment | An independent English translation of Japanese text totalling 5000 words. |
