Subject Description

The subject consists of two weekly sessions, one devoted to the development of reading skills through daily newspapers and the other to spoken skills through discussion.

Assessment

Assignments and quizzes totalling 1000 words, and a 2-hour examination, and a 20-minute oral/aural perception test for 2nd and 3rd-year. Assignments and quizzes totalling 1000 words, and a 2-hour examination, and a 20-minute oral/aural perception test, and a translation exercise of 1000 words for 4th-year. Students are required to attend a minimum of 70% of all classes in order to be eligible to take examinations.
