Subject Description | The course covers the following areas: reading comprehension, translation, composition, and oral/aural practice. 300 Chinese characters will be introduced. Authentic texts will be used as teaching and learning materials. Classes will be conducted principally in Japanese. |
Assessment | Assignments and quizzes totalling 1000 words, and a 2-hour examination, and a 20-minute oral test. Extra written work totalling 1000 words for 4th-year. Students are required to attend a minimum of 70% of all classes in order to be eligible to take examinations. |
