Subject Description | This subject complements and enhances Japanese 2A Core by developing the student's basic language acquisition by applying multimedia tools, particularly interactive computer programs. Emphasis will be placed on individualised use of computer-generated learning materials (i.e. students can allocate time they need to do each exercise) based on Japanese native speakers' natural discourse (e.g. materials from internet). Tools to be utilised will include word-processing (e.g. writing of a short paragraph or an advertisement), computer drills/games and digitised video software. The student will consolidate the language acquisition from the core subject, particularly in terms of listening comprehension and kanji recognition and learn new language applications in multi-media. |
Assessment | Assignments and quizzes totalling 2000 words. |
