Subject Description | Students will gain an understanding of the major issues in traditional Chinese thought. They will read and interpret Chinese philosophical texts in English translation, and explore the development of certain key terms. They will also discuss the ways in which the traditional philosophical discourse and forms of correlative thinking relate to important and enduring patterns in Chinese language, politics and culture. |
Assessment | Tutorial participation, and written work totalling 4000 words. |
