Prerequisites | Standard Chinese 2A and Standard Chinese Phonetics A (if relevant). Students must be concurrently enrolled in Standard Chinese Phonetics B, if they have not previously studied Standard Chinese 1B and Standard Spoken Chinese 1B. |

Subject Description | Advanced spoken and written Chinese for students who have completed Standard Chinese 2A. By the conclusion of this subject students will be able to read independently a variety of original Chinese materials and to conduct discussions in Chinese on social and cultural issues. |
Assessment | A 10-minute oral examination, a 2-hour examination, and written work totalling 2000 words. |
