Subject Description | An accelerated course for students who speak a dialect of Chinese but who can not speak Mandarin. By the conclusion of this subject students should be familiar with the phonological system of Mandarin and be able to conduct a conversation in an acceptable standard accent on a limited number of topics. |
Assessment | A 30-minute listening comprehension test, and a 5-minute oral test. |
