Subject Description |
This subject deals with art and architecture in Rome and Venice in the eighteenth century, and forms a sequal to 107-023 "Baroque & Rococo Art". It aims to provide a broad picture of the artistic culture of the period and its social context. Particular emphasis is placed on the use of primary source material, on the history of collections formed during this period (especially those in English country houses), and on works in the National Gallery of Victoria. |
Assessment | A visual test of 2 hours (2000 words), and an essay of 2000 words. |
