Subject Description | This subject involves the study of performance events across a wide range of institutional sites, which include theatre, film, carnival, television, sport, and dance. It provides an introduction to the emerging discipline of performance studies, and creates a framework for reading performances in terms of their impact on identity formations. |
Assessment | Written work totalling 4000 words, consisting of an essay of 1000 words and an essay of 3000 words, or an essay of 4000 words, or audiovisual/multi-media equivalent, as negotiated with subject coordinator. |
