 1. Overview

The Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) course aims to develop the specialist skills and knowledge gained through the completion of Diploma of Teaching (Early Childhood) or Diploma of Social Science (Child Care Services) and professional experience.

This course prepares an effective early childhood educator with the knowledge, specialised skills and personal qualities necessary for working in professional roles in the care and education of young children.

On completion of the Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) graduates should:

As a result of the introduction of the Bachelor of Early Childhood Studies in 1993, there have been no new enrolments in the Diploma of Teaching (Early Childhood) and the Diploma of Social Science (Child Care Services) since that time. The Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) is currently being phased out. There will be no further intake into this program. All currently enrolled students will be able to complete the requirements of the course if normal academic progress is maintained.

 4. Course structure

To satisfy the requirements of the Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood), you must accumulate a total of 100 points, including completion of:
