Subject Description

Consolidation of work learned in first semester with particular reference to the situational context of speaking, listening, reading and writing the language. The experience of Vietnamese community in Australia is analysed by using post-1975 Vietnamese literary works, newspaper articles and other relevant research.

Assessment

One book review of 1500-words; one 1500-word assignment; one 1-hour written test; and one 2-hour oral exam (including a role play in small groups, a short dialogue in Vietnamese and a multiple choice aural/oral test).
