Subject Description | The objective of this subject is to enable the student to:
The content includes: An overview of the marketing of the Australian 'bush' and country hospitality, together with rural tourism as an economically viable option for supplementing the farm income; topics such as Host family, bed and breakfast accommodation, horse-riding trails, etc., will be investigated as well as issues in establishing a tourism enterprise. |
Assessment | Essay of 1500 words (30%); major case study of 3000 words (70%). |
