Objectives | On completion of this subject students should be able to rehearse and conduct a short piece and should be familiar with the basic problems of vocal and instrumental ensembles. |
Content | Basic conducting skills: baton technique, rehearsal methods, score reading (all clefs) and preparation, basic instrumental and vocal ensemble problems. |
Assessment | Written project (20%); class participation (30%); end-of-semester practical test (50%). |
