Subject Description

Students should be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of the principal twentieth-century techniques, compose short pieces using these techniques, and appreciate the skills and problems of the compositional process.

Assessment

Regular practical assignments (50%), class paper or essay (30%), attendance (10%), listening test (10%).
